EXE worked for me and I now have working audio. For some it’s fast, for some it’s slow. I asked the seller what the CD said as far as what OS-installs it had. I’m going to try both out when they come in. Obviously they sound better and have less “noise” but I prioritize compatibility over all of that when it comes to this vintage stuff. I was really hoping to find Windows 3. Some users have found that replacing the capacitors with fresh ones of the recommended values noticeably improved both amplified and line-level audio quality, in addition to restoring proper operation. I downloaded all the drivers.

The magazine instead recommended the “almost foolproof” Sound Creative labs ct4740 sound card Pro or the original Sound Blaster.
